2023 NEC Changes

May 9, 2026


This seminar will cover the major changes in the newly published 2023 National Electrical Code®. Photos and illustrations will show how the NEC® is changing and how those changes will affect electrical installations.


Note: Since the Las Vegas area did not adopt the 2020 NEC, essential changes from the 2020 NEC will also be covered.


Changes include new Articles, new AFCI and GFCI requirements, residential receptacle changes, changes to lighting load calculations, new surge protection requirements, Class 4 power systems, and many more changes that affect installations and inspections.

Electrical Exam Prep

One of the most challenging parts of taking an electrical exam is finding what you need in the over 850-page NEC while under the time pressure of taking a test. This seminar series is designed to provide a strong foundation in electrical knowledge and test-taking skills for electricians and inspectors preparing to take the electrical license and certification exams.


Attendees should bring a 2020 or 2023 NEC. (0.8 CEU per class)

Individual class: $250

All three classes: $700

(Each class will be from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with lunch provided.)

In this foundational class, we’ll review productive learning strategies, explore the code layout and efficient search techniques, and cover general requirements found in Articles 90, 100, 110, 210, 215, 225, and 230.

Focus on Load Calculations

Learn how to use Article 220 to calculate load for branch circuits, feeders, and service conductors for any occupancy. Learn about the significant changes for load calculations in the 2020 and 2023 electrical codes.


September 5, 2026

Focus on Motors, Wiring, Grounding, & Overcurrent Protection

Learn how to use Articles 240, 250, 310, and 430 for conductor sizing, breaker and fuse sizing, grounding and bonding, and navigating the complexities of motor-related questions.

NFPA 70E 2024 Training


This is an 8-hour Training Class based on NFPA® 70E 2024 covering electrical safety Risk Assessment, Electrical Safe Work Permits, Electrical Energized Work Permits, and using the tables for Arc Flash Boundary. We will also cover Condition of Maintenance, Working Distances, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Voltage Verification, PPE selection and other major topics found within NFPA 70E 2024.





Refund Policy for

HTS training classes


*Cancellations will incur a 3% processing fee. Refunds or substitutions can be made up to 72 hours before the start of the event. For multi-class discounts, partial refunds will be pro-rated.


As an example, if you pay $625 for three Exam Prep classes and need to cancel - one class: $200 - two classes $400 - all three classes $625 (minus processing fees)

There are two ways to register multiple attendees.

1) You can pay for all the attendees in one transaction, and we'll send you an email asking for the attendee names.

2) You can register each person in individual transactions.
